Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week has commenced in New York City and IMG is refusing to shut down the show, leaving the brave and the beautiful fashionistas to endure blizzard-ous conditions as winter storm Nemo engulfs the east coast.
But let’s move on from the unglamorous talk of nature’s shenanigans and report that Peruvian designer Sergio Davila showed his Fall 2013 collection at Lincoln Center yesterday. Produced by Kelly Cutrone’s People’s Revolution, all the prepping activities leading up to the runway have been captured via Instragram and Tweets that you can check out by clicking on the links.
Davila, Peru’s only designer to take part in NYFW, showed a menswear collection, sprinkled with 8 women’s looks, full of sturdy suits, structured leather jackets, wool coats, and rtw outfits with geometric alpaca sweaters and printed shirts. A very solid and wearable collection that included a nice anecdote, as Davila’s FB states:

P.S. We are digging the sleek, side-parted hair the men sported and the wavy curls Kaori is rocking.
